What We Do
Here at The Book Rescuer, getting books into the right hands and saving landfill-bound books is something we get really excited about. We scan the ISBN or enter the title into a database, and our computers use an algorithm to determine if the volume is fit to be resold, donated to charity, or consigned to the recycling plant. There are a million ways to reuse books, of course, but sometimes a cheap paperback and loved book that definitely shows how much love it has received might be better off pulped and turned into a brand-new cheap paperback to be loved by the next reader. Well, I suppose it’s a more dignified fate for a book than being turned into a Kindle case, anyway.
Who We Are
We are a group of environmentally conscious, book loving individuals that believe the environment is a terible thing to waste.
It takes 1 tree to make 20 copies of a 1,000 page book. So if we can save at least 20 books a day, that is the same as saving 1 tree a day.

Our mission is to provide an option for people who want to clear their homes and offices of books they no longer need. Books can be heavy and overwhelming to manage, which is why we strive to provide the best service possible!
